In the name of God Amen, I Richard Wrightson of Thurske in the County of York, Yeoman being (....) in body but of perfect remembrance prayse be God for it doe ordaine make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following. First I give and bequeath my soule onto Almighty God my maker and Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my body to the ground from where it came.
Item I give to my sonne William Wrightson all my right and title to Land .... farme after the ..... of me and my wife and five shillings of money.
Item I give to John Wrightson the .. of William Wrightson for being my granchild five shillings six (pence)
Item I give to Elizabeth Wrightson for the daughter of my sonne Thomas Wrightson Three pounds and six shillings and eight (pence) the rest of my goods ...... of I give to wife Elizabeth Wrightson and my five daughters Mary Wrightson and Elizabeth Wrightson ..... my debts ..... and funerall expenses discharged whom I make Executor of this my Last Will and Testmament.
